These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchase of products from The Lava Company ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under applicable Danish or European Union consumer protection laws.

The Lava Company produces and sells hot sauces and related food products.

2. Products

We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, photographs, ingredient information, nutritional information and pricing are accurate.

However:

• Product appearance may vary slightly from photographs.
• Natural ingredients may result in minor variations in colour, texture, consistency or heat level between batches.
• We reserve the right to modify, discontinue or replace products without prior notice.

3. Food Safety and Allergens

Our products are food products intended for human consumption.

Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient and allergen information before purchasing and consuming our products.

If you have food allergies, intolerances or dietary restrictions, please review the product information carefully and contact us before purchase if you require clarification.

Our sauces contain chili peppers and may be extremely spicy. Consumption is at your own discretion and risk.

The Lava Company is not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from allergies, intolerances or sensitivities where ingredient and allergen information has been provided.

4. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase products from us.

An order is not binding until we have accepted it and provided an order confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where:

• Product availability is insufficient
• Pricing errors have occurred
• Fraud or misuse is suspected
• Legal or regulatory requirements prevent fulfilment

If payment has already been collected for a cancelled order, the amount paid will be refunded.

5. Annual Purchase Limit

The Lava Company operates as a small-scale producer and may limit the quantity of products available to individual customers.

Unless otherwise agreed by us in writing, each customer may purchase a maximum of six (6) products in total during any calendar year.

For the purpose of this limit, all products purchased by the same individual, household, delivery address, billing address, payment method or account may be treated as purchases by a single customer.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or partially fulfil orders that would exceed this annual purchase limit. Any payment received for products that cannot be supplied due to this limit will be refunded.

This purchase limit may be amended or withdrawn at any time by updating these Terms.

6. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are shown in Danish Kroner (DKK) unless otherwise stated.

Where applicable, prices include VAT.

Shipping costs are shown separately during checkout before payment is completed.

Payment must be received before products are dispatched.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.

7. Shipping and Delivery

We ship to destinations shown during checkout.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on carrier performance, customs processing, weather conditions, public holidays and other factors outside our reasonable control.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery.

Please inspect your order promptly upon receipt.

8. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Consumers within the European Union may have statutory withdrawal rights under applicable law.

For food safety reasons, opened, unsealed or partially consumed food products cannot be returned unless faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly.

9. Defective or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we may offer:

• A replacement product
• A refund
• Another remedy required under applicable consumer protection laws

We may request photographs or other evidence to assist with evaluating the issue.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, logos, product names, photographs, graphics and designs, is owned by or licensed to The Lava Company and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
